a) An Adriatic port city in Albania, on the site of Ancient Epidamnus
b) A Catholic archiepiscopal see since 1300, which lost its metropolitan status and was merged into one archbishopric with the Albanian capital Tirana (Tirane, Tiranë; where the cathedral now is)
