mixture of acetonitrile and trifluoroacetic acid

mixture of acetonitrile and trifluoroacetic acid
Mixture of acetonitrile (ACN) and trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). The mixture is usually called as TA??. ?? is number which represent the dilution of the ACN. The concentration of TFA is always in 0.1%. For example, TA30 = 30% acetonile, 0.1% TFA solution. Preparation of 100 microlitre TA30, stock 100%ACN, stock 10%TFA, distilled water. Procedure 30 microlitre ACN, 1 microlitre TFA 69 microlitre water. In proteomic, HCCA can be used as a matrix in MALDI. Usually, TA 70 is used to dissolve HCCA. TA 90 is used to further dilute HCCA and will then be spotted on a target plate with protein.
