- white zone
-
(California), also known as a loading zone: an area of a street where the curb has been painted white, indicating that spot is only to be used for the immediate loading or unloading of passengers, baggage or freight, or short term parking (10 minutes or less) for that purpose. In some places (an airport for example), a white zone is further restricted in that the vehicle is not to be left unattended.
